Le groupe d\u00e9marre au milieu des ann\u00e9es 90 avec un premier album sobrement intitul\u00e9 Garbage, puis un deuxi\u00e8me nomm\u00e9 Version 2.0 (leur meilleur \u00e0 ce jour de mon point de vue). Succ\u00e8s, apparition sur des bandes-son (Buffy), composition de la chanson du g\u00e9n\u00e9rique du Monde Ne Suffit Pas<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_660_1('footnote_plugin_reference_660_1_3');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_660_1('footnote_plugin_reference_660_1_3');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_660_1_3\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[3]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_660_1_3\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">la meilleure chose du film, \u00e0 mon avis<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_660_1_3').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_660_1_3', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top center', relative: true, offset: [-7, 0], });<\/script>, et c&rsquo;est le drame. Leur troisi\u00e8me album: Beautiful Garbage tente de prendre avec un succ\u00e8s tr\u00e8s mitig\u00e9 un virage plus \u00e9lectro, et surtout sort quelques jours apr\u00e8s le 11\/09\/2001. Un \u00e9v\u00e9nement qui plombera le groupe au point de les faire r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 arr\u00eater la musique.<\/p>\n<p>Ce qu&rsquo;ils ne font heureusement pas. Apr\u00e8s une pause, leur quatri\u00e8me album Bleed Like Me renoue avec le style musicale originel du groupe. Le groupe prend cependant beaucoup plus son temps et 7 ans s\u00e9parent Bleed Like Me de l&rsquo;album suivant Not Your Kind Of People, sorti en 2012, et quatre s\u00e9parent celui-ci du dernier (avec, certes, une tourn\u00e9e mondiale pour f\u00eater les 20 ans du premier album entre les deux).<\/p>\n<p>Passons \u00e0 l&rsquo;album en lui-m\u00eame et la premi\u00e8re chose qui saute aux oreilles, c&rsquo;est que c&rsquo;est du Garbage pur jus. \u00c7a saute m\u00eame aux yeux puisque la pochette renoue avec le style graphique des deux premiers albums, avec un grand G et une texture plus ou moins vestimentaire (des plumes roses sur le premier album, de la doudoune orange pour le deuxi\u00e8me, et ici un genre de fourrure l\u00e9opard). Du pur Garbage donc, c&rsquo;est \u00e0 dire des riffs d&rsquo;intro qui vous hame\u00e7onnent d\u00e8s les premi\u00e8res notes, des mont\u00e9es en puissance parfaitement dos\u00e9es, des guitares d\u00e9chir\u00e9es et des nappes de clavier atmosph\u00e9riques, l&rsquo;inimitable voix de la chanteuse et des textes \u00e0 ne pas lire un soir de d\u00e9prime.<\/p>\n<p><em>D\u00e9tail rigolo: alors que je r\u00e9digeais le d\u00e9but de cet article, voila ce que tweetait le groupe:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-partner=\"tweetdeck\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Didn&rsquo;t need to conduct a study to know this. Dans Strange Little Birds, je n&rsquo;ai trouv\u00e9 ni les unes, ni les autres. Avec le temps, il y aura certainement un titre qui ressortira, mais \u00e7a sera certainement moins un cri du coeur que pour Automatic Systematic Habit (de Not Your Kind&#8230;), Sex Is Not The Enemy (de Bleed Like Me) ou When I Grow Up (de Version 2.0).<\/p>\n<p>Bref, si vous aimez Garbage, foncez, cet album est tr\u00e8s bon.
